Vintage Cereal Boxes

Nostalgic for your childhood? No doubt The Imaginary World's vintage cereal box gallery will conjure up images of Saturday morning cartoons and massive sugar rushes. And even if you were more of the oatmeal type, some of the boxes are at least pretty interesting to look at. Does anyone remember Sir Grapefellow cereal? I've never heard of it, but "grape flavored oat cereal" doesn't sound too appealing to me. And be sure to check out "Grins and Smiles and Giggles and Laughs."

Omg. Sir Grapefellow! I remember eating that for breakkie. And yes, Grins, Smiles, Giggles and Laughs, Kaboom, Super Sugar Crisp and Sugar Smacks. Mom was pretty cool IMHO.

My family loved Grins, Smiles, Giggles and Laughs. We collected so many magnets we covered the refrigerator door with the magnets. We had eight children in the family and everyone eating a bowl of Grins, Smiles, Giggles and Laughs made quite the noise.

there was one called...Circus? I forget. but the back of the box had stuff you could cut out, maybe multilayered? early 60's. I don't even know what was inside but i could never wait to get a new box home.

It's good to know there are a lot of other old people on Neatorama!

My favorite wasn't listed and was very short-lived: S.W. Graham. Mmm..the brown sugar and cinnamon variety was like heaven.

Fruit Brute and Quisp were my faves. then when they discontinued Fruit Brute, I settled for Boo-Berry.
And just eat Cap'n Crunch as my Quisp substitute. :/

I remember coco puffs had a special box that the back popped open like a pop up book and had a game that you used the cereal to play. It was kind of a gravity fed pin ball kinda thing. Anyone else remember that?

Anyone remember Puffa Puffa Rice? I referenced that cereal when I saw my neighbor's hand-made outrigger canoe. He thought I was crazy...

Yeah, QUISP!!
