Roy Doty's Wonderful Illustrated Christmas Cards

For over 60 years, cartoonist and illustrator Roy Doty made his own Christmas Card he sent to friends and colleagues. His cards, often intricately designed, are fantastic.

Daryl Cagle's Hogan's Alley has the gallery: http://www.cagle.com/hogan/features/christmas_cards_2008/main.asp - via Super Punch (who has a pretty neat Christmas Link Roundup 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5)

I remember Doty from his clever "Wordless Workshop" which ran in either Popular Science or Popular Mechanics". Talented cartoonist with a clean line.

When I was a kid I remember liking his illustrations in Judy Blume's Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing. I hear newer editions of the book don't have them. Too bad, because they were charming and very funny.
