US National Debt Overwhelmed National Debt Clock

As US debt exceeded $10 trillion for the first time and caused the National Debt Clock ... to run out of digits!

The national debt clock, the unofficial tracker of the federal deficit maintained by the Durst Organization in New York, has reached its limits. Last month, as the national debt exceeded $10 trillion for the first time, the clock ran out of digits to record the number.

The dollar sign in the clock had to be deleted and replaced with a one to record the massive number. The clock’s owners say a new model — with space for two extra digits — will be in place early next year.

Lately, Republicans were budget spenders, while Democrats were reducing the debt. [ie: Clinton vs. Bush]
Without being a political troll : isn't that supposed to be the opposite? ;)

And yet there are morons out there who will vote Republican next month. Every single one of these people need to be expelled from civilized society.

I always wondered how long it would take before the sign had to be updated. It happened a little sooner than I thought it would.
Oh and the national debt can be laid on all politicians. They all like to waste our tax money.
Anyone know how much of that debt is just the interest from loans. I know on my own debts the interest is what kills me not the original loan.

See there is optimism in the air, they are only adding two extra digits!

Could have been worse, 15 digits gives us quadrillion (1,000 trillion)
