Predator in London

A south London junk shop displays life-size movie characters outside to draw attention. Recently, a metal sculpture of the Predator has joined their ranks.
A junk yard is probably far too harsh a word for it. However, each morning the proprietors of a – dang – junk yard in Lewisham, London, drag to the forefront a massive eight foot replica of one of our favorite scary movie beasts, the Predator. They are vague about the origins of the structure, but not so much about the price attached to it. Although they are more than willing to haggle, your starting gambit had better start at five thousand (British) pounds. Otherwise, leave it out!

I'd love to know who built this! http://readmore-webphemera.blogspot.com/2008/09/predator-lands-in-london.html -Thanks, RJ Evans!

They have had one of these in the window of RED5 in glasgow for months.

They also had an amazing optimus prime but it was only a foot and a half tall.

I've seen the xenomorph from alien in a gadgetshop before I'm sure...

There's a few here in various shops, I've seen them being sold in London. There's miture versions around to.

Pretty cool, but far from a one-off.

I saw this (or one just like it) in the Gadgetshop too (it was the one in Liverpool I think or perhaps Manchester. It was several years ago now, hence my forgetfulness

Im sure I saw something like this in a local tattoo shop in Morton (less than an hour away from Liverpool /Manchester) a few years ago!

I saw quite a few of this in Bangkok, selling for more than 1/8th of that price iirc. Shipping, however, is another story.

The piece I saw in bangkok was made out of old motorcycle and car parts, amongst other salvaged items.

oh man, this is like 5 minutes from my house! It's a pretty cool junk yard (and yes, that's putting it a little harsh) but they're unfortunately really over priced.

They often have other amazing & huge statue/sculptures out the front too.
