If Hillary had won...

Somebody produced this wonderful song and dance video celebrating The Clintons' return to the White House. Alas, it wasn't to be. [Link]

...but Hillary and Barack's politics are near identical. Why do the dems have against Hillary? She seemed like a fine candidate and actually stated her stances on issues. All I've ever heard about Obama is that he wants change. What politician DOESN'T say s/he wants change? Who's platform is actually, "Hey, I'm just gonna keep the status quo going." I just don't get the vehemence with which people rail Hillary Clinton.

Especially since I'm willing to bet most of the people who are so vocal about it can't tell me a single plank of Obama's platform.

hey mattie-- i hate hillary and i'm glad she didn't win. but this does not mean that i'm particularly fond of obama either. i don't like hillary because of her over-all character. she always seemed like she was chastizing the public rather than speaking to them, and she just reminded me of a grade-school teacher on the rag. another reason to not support hillary was because we need a new administration. if she won, that would mean this country would be under rule of the same two administrations for the last two decades, and that is just entirely too long. though it would have been awesome to see a woman in office, hillary was not the right woman. AND considering how strong a role bill played in her candidacy, how much would SHE actually be doing?

he wants to reduce foreign dependency on oil by doubling the production of bio-fuels by 2013, ie: ethanol. this means increased production of corn and soy beans and higher prices in the food market because of it. and being the typical democrat, he wants to raise raise RAISE taxes. he does, on the other hand, want to invest in the car companies to research and develop alternative fuels. he walso wants us to run off of 25% renewable energy sources by 2025, ie: solar power, wind energy, geothermal.

one of the things i really admire about him is that he has already changed congress a little bit and he's not even in office. he doesn't want to allow lobbyist contributions anymore, and that tells me he has some good values. the white house doesn't need any more handouts. he also was an avid pot smoker back in the day, and i can usually trust someone a little more if they dabbled a bit in some illegal activity when they were young. it tells me he knows the difference between right and wrong, and he would have to prove himself a little more to the american people (if he gets into office). if that means trying a little harder than your typical candidate, so be it. i'm eager to see what he's got under his sleeves.

Mattie, Hillary and Barack’s politics are not identical (that was the media pitch), truth is they strongly differ. Hillary has practically endorsed the Bush doctrine, preemptive war, so on and so forth.
