Fred Astaire in Smooth Criminal

(YouTube link)

This video remix stars Fred Astaire, Cyd Charisse, and Leslie Caron dancing to Michael Jackson’s "Smooth Criminal". The dance sequences were taken from the 1953 film The Band Wagon and the 1955 film Daddy Long Legs. -via Boing Boing

that was pretty good. I liked how all the fight scenes were choreographed to look like dance moves.

Oh and the part where the woman comes up to Astaire all exhausted. He gives her a puff of his cigarette and she is revived! I can just imagine the next line: "Nothing like the smooth taste of Marlboro!"

Ablolutely flippin' sweet. Fred, Cyd, Leslie and the crew showing how to throw it down. Fred racked up a pretty decent score by the end, that was like Dance Rambo there.

Wow, from the white suit of Fred and the synchronised dancing of the gangsters in black who are after him - surely Michael got the whole idea for Smooth Criminal from these films?!

Sara some of the dance moves that Michael uses are in this video too....but its no secret or controversy...Michael Jackson gives credit to Fred Astaire a lot..he was actually taught some things from him...

Am I alone in being moderately creeped out by MJ's music these days due to his predilection for young boys?

Regardless, awesome video. Astaire was a suave bastard, god bless him.
