European Inventors Show

If you missed the 36th International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva, Switzerland last week, Wired has an overview of some of the odder inventions on display. The vertical hot-air grill shown above, invented by Heina Gruber of Germany, is supposed to provide healthier meals and save space. I'm not sure if his invention received funding at the show, but if he's going to push the healthy angle he might want to hire a model and fill the device with something other than greasy German meats at the next exhibit.

Ted - does that guy look healthy to you? He doesn't necessarily need to hire an attractive model (although I'm sure that would help), just someone that doesn't look like a weird dirty old uncle.

ted, no. I like his wizened appearance, personally. But those dark rings beneath the eyes seem indicative of some kind of disease. But hey, I'm no doctor

Oi! German sausages, meat and cheese are the bestest! I tell ya, I always take salami with me when I go and visit the UK again because theirs is either not there or crap...

well he said healthiER not healthy.

Baking french fries is healthiER than frying them, but I wouldn't say that they are healthy themselves.

And for people freaking out about the suggestion of a model, nothing was ever said about a supermodel just any model that looks healthier than the inventor.

Cheeseduck: yeah, when the meat is done and grilled, you won't get meat but actually a door will open to the real cockaigne (? that's what my dictionary said... I hope i got it right)
