What's up with this post, Excellent? I fail to see what it has to do with the McGilles website it's linked to. (If you would, please write a text description to the post as well).
I *remember* these things! They were in the back of all the martial arts magazines in the late 80s. They were supposed to let you do high kicks, and still look great^Was great as Chuck Norris.
i've been trying to find an image of that ad for over five years now, and in the last few months it seems to have popped up everywhere. excellent. i was one of those kids in the 80s who was in Tae Kwon Do, loved Kung Fu Theater, and bought issues of Black Belt Magazine. every month that zine and others like it ran that ad. hilarious.
Lighthill - I'm no Karate Kid, bought them for just general wear, better range of motion. For me they had absolutely no problems. I'd buy again, my recollection is that the material was also lighter weight than my JC Penny Plain Pockets of the time. (I used to call them JC Penny Poverty Pockets).
In any case, am I the only one who don't think that doesn't look much like Chuck Norris? I guess that what happens with aging...
