Star Trek Full Webisodes on CBS

CBS has just launched webisodes of Star Trek: The Original Series seasons 1, 2, and 3. They're all full-length features, all you have to do is sit through an occasional 30 second ad before the launch of the clip.

Also available at the time of writing: MacGyver (season 1), The Twilight Zone (seasons 1 and 2), Hawaii Five-0 (season 1) and Melrose Place (season 1).

If you missed these shows on TV, here's a chance for you to catch up for free!

(CBS also has select full episodes of more recent TV shows, just click on the "Shows" link on top of the page and select the TV show you'd like to see - some have full webisodes, some don't.)

This is wonderful, except there's two missing episodes!
1. Season 2, Episode 11: "Friday's Child"
2. Season 2, Episode 26: "Assignment: Earth"

(Can someone contact them about this? I've already tried, but got no reply.)

How did CBS end up with these shows?

Star Trek was originally on NBC, right?

MacGyver was on ABC.

Melrose Place ran on Fox.

Yet, they are all now on CBS's website?

Strange.

Every time I hear about a way to watch tv shows over the internet I get horribly excited, go to the site, and am disappointed to find they won't play in the UK. Does anyone know of any site, with any shows, that I can watch over here in Scotland?

Don't feel too bad, guys. None of the 3 laptops in my house (XP/SP2, Vista and Vista Ultimate) will play these episodes, either, and I'm in the US. Click play, the display flickers, then it offers the option to replay. This is why CBS has been getting trampled in the marketplace for years now--their offerings are always just about ready for prime time but not quite. Thanks for nothing, CBS!
