The Bacon Pig

Alex

Vegetarians, avert your eyes: in our continuing series of thing sculpted out of meat (see the Meat House, Meat Ship), here's the Bacon Pig by Carl Huber of the WAREHOUSE. He said that it was "so dangerously good." I'll take his words for it:

People have been building all sorts of crazy stuff out of the wonder that is bacon, from the lowly bacon-wrapped scallops to the mighty meat house. But has anyone tried to restore a Frankenstein's Monster-like dignity to the pig from which the bacon hails? Probably not, because most people aren't this crazy.

It's made from bacon, ground pork, and hot dog: Link - Thanks Carl!

Update 2/4/08: Neatorama reader Jonathan Overturf sent us another pic of a pig made out of meat: http://www.reconcornelius.com/2007/12/did-you-know-that-some-pigs-are-made-of.html - Thanks Jonathan!

Ever been to one of those parties with the huge roasted pigs. It's so sad to see in intact and roasted but it's amazingly delicious. This sculpted pig is slightly mutated...but I'd still eat it with some crackers and cheese...yum!

You know, due to kidney problems I've been told by doctors that I really had to avoid animal protein. In other words, I had to become a vegetarian. This is something I've been struggling with as I've always been a carnivore at heart.

....but, after seeing that picture, I don't think I'll be having anymore cravings.

I never understood why fossile fuel is still so widely used. From a chemist's point of view oil is such a versatile ressource. For me burning fossile fuel is simply like heating a house by burning lego bricks. (Which is possible, as ABS-plastic the lego bricks ar made from is not self-extinguishing.) It is common knowledge that fossile fuel is limited an one day we will have to develop methods to replace it by renewable ressources. Why not starting now to massively develop alternative and renewable energy sources, as we will have to do it anyway in near future?
