Cell Phone Signal Can Cause Bad Sleep

Can't sleep? Maybe it's your cell phone's fault (and it doesn't even involve ringing in the middle of the night): a recent study by scientists at the Wayne State University showed that prolonged exposure to cell phone signal can lead to bad sleep:

The study indicates that during laboratory exposure to 884 MHz wireless signals, components of sleep, believed to be important for recovery from daily wear and tear, are adversely affected. Moreover, participants that otherwise have no self-reported symptoms related to mobile phone use, appear to have more headaches during actual radiofrequency exposure as compared to sham exposure. However, subjects were not able to detect the true exposure status more often than would have been expected by statistical chance alone.

doesn't anyone ever think "duh! radio waves + brain MIGHT = brainwave complications!" ?! sometimes i think people conduct experiments that they would have otherwise predicted, just to pass the time. "too much coffee can stain your teeth, studies show" DUH! "too much aspartame (sp?) may cause cancerous cells to develop" DUH! too much of any foreign substance introduced to an organic body (ie: preservatives to the human body) WILL cause adverse effects. the human body is not made to absorb chemicals on a regular basis. there are some people lucky enough to have no ailments after smoking 4 packs a day for 80 years, but that doesn't mean that i can do the same thing and expect the same life expectancy. we were made to absorb certain levels of chemical/radiation, but that's just our immune system at work. a daily and/or constant absorbtion of anything will hurt you.
