UC Berkeley Marching Band Goes 16-Bit

As former Drum Major of the Mighty Sound of Maryland, I must say that none of this is nearly as cool as our Cartoon Tribute, in which I was fortunate to conduct our rendition of the Johnny Quest theme.

that is flipping amazing...for those of you who are not in awe...if you have never been in a marching band then you have no idea how hard that would have been

these recordings NEVER sound good. it would have been great to actually see the band perform because the recording quality never does any justice for the big band sound. i remember back in my high school marching band all the parents would rant and rave about how well we did, but when we went back and watched the tape, we were AWFUL.

@Geekazoid: this trend will retire when clothing goes out of style. chin up- in twenty years you'll be saying "remember when EVERYBODY AND THEIR MOM covered the old-school video game theme songs in every medium available? those were the days..."

No offense but renditions of video game music is SO played out. This trend needs to be retired.

Oh my goodness. I feel like a dork because 1. It made me miss marching band so much and 2. I knew every single song in that medley and played every single one of those games. lol
