Rare Albino Ratfish Looks as Ugly as it Sounds

Scientists found a rare albino ratfish and declared it still as ugly as the normal ones:

"They're pretty ugly," said Jon Reum, a University of Washington doctoral student who spent his summer working on the marine survey. "They've got this gnarly spine on their backs, they bite, and they're just a pain to work with."

I personally think it's a very pretty fish -- a miracle of nature. However, this story reminds me of the fact that many restaurants are serving "Chilean Sea Bass" as an upscale dish. The "Chilean Sea Bass" is actually a Patagonian Toothfish, and there are those who say it's ugly and this is a brilliant marketing ploy. As a human who might be considered ugly by some, I wonder what this says about humanity. Luckily I have a good outlook on life and a sense of self esteem. There is no such thing as "ugly." Just my two cents.
