Man Survived Spectacular 310 mph Drag Racing Fireball Accident

Australian carrot grower turned part-time drag racer Phil Lamattina survived what is one of the most spectacular drag racing crash.

Disaster strikes at 500 km (310 mi.) per hour. Seen here in slow motion, Phil Lamattina's dragster becomes airborne. His chassis disintegrates . He's knocked unconscious. The dragster rolls three times. 60 liters of nitromethane explodes as he hits the barrier. The front wheel left behind as Phil in the center of the fireball crashes into a second concrete wall.

And here he is minutes later reunited with his brother with nothing more than a burn to the tip of his finger...
