World's Shortest International Bridge



The island on the left is in Canada, the one on the right is in the USA.

I hail from the 1000 islands area, and just took the Uncle Sam boat tour this summer with my family. It was my third time going on this tour, and ever time they point out this set of islands, along with many others with really interesting stories.
The US Canada border runs between many of the islands, to keep the approximate number of islands that the US and Canada own the same. The guy who owns these two islands built the bridge, and he has a wife and several daughters. When the stress of living with so many women gets too much, he leaves the country and goes to his second island.
True or not, the story made me laugh.
