Inventor Robin Hamilton has designed a three-story rotating house that will generate more electricity than it uses. The house will follow the sun in order to collect the maximum amount of solar energy, and will use wind energy in addition. Hamilton hopes to have the home finished and functional in two years. And perhaps a lightweight wall covering could follow the sun in the summer for cooling (doing the opposite in the winter) as well.
Make outside walls round and glass, so you can get solar heat in winter.
Use awnings on hot summer days.
