If you ever plan to motor west... Don't use Google Maps to trace your route. In the step 40 you can read
"40. Cruzar el Atlántico a nado, 5.572km"
It means:
"40. Swim across the Atlantic ocean, 5,572km"

It only works for the north Atlantic, as far as I can tell. I tried Sao Paolo Brazil to Lagos, Nigeria and it wouldn't do it.

This trick actually works for various cities in Europe. Unfortunately, it doesn't include any routes for swimming to Hawaii or East Asia. My travel plans are ruined!
