The Earphone Necklace.

Jewelry should be something everyone wants, it used to be that everyone wanted diamonds--now everyone wants MP3 players. Anna Tascha Larsson a jewelry designer still in school in Stockholm heard the many reports of students in NYC getting mugged and stabbed to death because they wore the coveted white ipod earphones (a tell-tale sign that they held ipods) and decided to do something. She created a necklace, in gold and silver, that looks exactly like ipod earphones. Everyone wants this necklace because it's such a brilliant idea.

As seen on Vulture Droppings.

Actually H&M has had a series of music inpired neckwear. Up to and including this very item. The H&M version comes in gold and silver, and the speaker portion of the ear bud had white enamel and diamond cut glass inlayed around the outer circle. The H&M version has been out for more than a year, and only costs about five bucks.

I dislike wearing earbuds in my ears, so I made a pair of earrings out of them instead. The only problem is that people *insist* on walking up to me and shoving them into my ears. They enevr seem to get that this defeats the point.
