Twingly is a screensaver that visualizes the blogosphere in real time. Blog posts from different countries are visualized as bars distributed geographically, with the height of the bar being the number of posts from that location.

There used to be a good bar like this, called Scholars, near the University of Alberta campus in Edmonton. Unfortunately most of the bookshelves were lined with crappy books found at flea markets and garage sales.

I remember back in the '70s, the Hilton on Ft Laud Bch had a bar called The Library.. They also had a restaurant called the Bookseller! I loved going to them.. the only problem was that the books were all glued together so they couldn't be read!
