Twelve "top" skyscrapers

I stumbled across this list of the twelve "top" skyscrapers in the world. I'd assume that by "top" they mean by height. They're also including a few skyscrapers that have yet to be completed.

The list doesn't name the structures, so let's try to do it here:
1. Eiffel Tower, Paris
2. Burj al Arab, Dubai*
3. Jin Mao Tower, Shanghai (thanks Fargus!)
4. Sears Tower, Chicago
5. Petronas Towers, Kuala Lumpur
6. World Financial Center, Shanghai*
7. Taipei 101, Taipei
8. Twin Towers of Canton, Guangzhou (Canton), China*
9. Freedom Tower, NYC
10. New Tokyo Tower, Tokyo*
11. Burj Dubai, Dubai*
12. Bionic Tower, Shanghai*

That's all I can name off the top of my head. Anyone? Link

      *Thanks, Roadtrip!

These are all fascinating examples of modern architecture - even the Eiffel Tower! Considering that it was originally designed only as a temporary entrance to the World Exposition and many thought it was down-right ugly ... we should all remember how lucky we are that it still stands today!

    1 ... Eiffel Tower - Paris, France
2 ... Burj al Arab - Dubai, UAE (incorrectly named Burj Dubai)
3 ... Jin Mao Tower - Shanghai, China
    4 ... Sears Tower - Chicago, USA
5 ... Petronas Towers - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
6 ... World Financial Center - Shanghai, Chain
    7 ... Taipei 101 - Taipei, China
8 ... Twin Towers of Canton - Guangdong, China
9 ... Freedom Tower - New York City, USA
10 ... New Tokyo Tower - Tokyo, Japan
11 ... Burj Dubai - Dubai, UAE (correct one) ;)
    12 ... Bionic Tower - Shanghai, China

Landmark Tower in Yokohama, Japan (south of Toyko.) The Tokyo Tower isn't a complete building...it's a radio tower. Also, Landmark has the 2nd fastest elevator in the world. Once you get to the top, though, it's nothing special.

Thanks, Fargus, Roadtrip and Leah. I'll update and make corrections.

It always amazes me how giant the Eiffel Tower is up close. To think that the Bionic Tower is going to be three times its height boggle the mind!

One more very useful link for anyone who still cares:

This link appears to be the most accurate list I've found on this subject. Wiki. Figures.

You just have to make a correction/addition here: the list does NOT include the world's tallest building! Of all things to miss - the tallest one!

The CN Tower in Toronto, Canada stands 533m tall. It will soon be shadowed by a few of these new ones but as of now, it's numero uno.

And not even on that list! Gaaah!
