The Black Hole of Los Alamos.

Ed Grothus is a former Los Alamos National Lab employee. Now, he tinkers around his shop "The Black Hole," a marvelous scientific junk store with a huge collection of used scientific equipments, electronics, lab supplies, military surplus and "nuclear by-products" (I don't know what he means by that). It's called the Black Hole because "everything goes in and nothing comes out."

I've actually been to this place when I lived in Los Alamos, although it was just a plain old grocery store at the time. After the store closed, I had just assumed that the place was being used to store junk until I saw an article about the place being visited by the local Hazmat team. Needless to say, most of the locals kept their distance.

Its a great place if you're into techno junk. You can spend several hours looking at stuff, trying to figure out what it is or how you could use it.
