Zune Vs. iPod. - Neatorama

This pic by flickr user axb500 cleverly uses characters from the Mac ads (btw, Justin Long, the Mac guy, is reportedly ~~fired~~ nope, still workin') to compare Microsoft's Zune to Apple's iPod. Now, the web is abuzz with comparison between the two (see for example, Gizmodo's excellent review).

Not having either (I'm technologically-challenged - heck, my music player of choice is a radio!), can anyone tell me which is better from personal experience?

I have had my zune for almost 3 or 4 years now and it still works like a champ. All I ever hear is how my friends ipods always break from not even touching them or because they got to old. I have dropped my zune many times and it is still great. Never had a problem with it.

I've been a customer of Creative so far, and I'm content.

Confirmed my fears. I think I'd stick with radio (or Internet radio) for now. Plus it's free!

Personally, prefer anything by Archos. The featureset on the Archos players (PVR, USB OTG Host, etc.) make them much more useful than just a regular video player.

Yeouch! I wasn't even thinking of the unfortunate combination of long, unbound hair plus a power tool!
