Meret Oppenheim's Fur Covered Cup and Saucer.

Checkout more of this Swiss surrealist's artwork: Link (via Subterranean Homepage News)

Hello, and thanks for noting the fur cup and saucer. I first saw it on the cover of the NYT Sunday Arts section as a teenager. The story was about surrealism, and reading it in a home that had The Blue Boy and three Madonna of the Chair repros in it, it was life-changing.

I'm seeing folks from here coming to my blog this morning, but that post has slipped into the (searchable) archive, so here's the direct link: Cat piano, houses made of trees.
