You've got to play the notes correctly. Open the left-side window, then the right-side window. Then you'll see piano keys - you've just got to play the notes.
5 8 12 5 2 4 - for the non-musical like me they, should have had a place where you could click to peek at the answer. I didn't consider that part very fun, just time consuming.
