Part of what's made the test so popular with the general public is that it's impossible to fail. While other psychological tests were designed to diagnose mental illness (or at least screen for it), the Myers-Briggs Test assumes that all 16 types represent shades of normal.
Apples and oranges--or at least apple and fruits. Other respected personality assessments, such as the 16PF and Rep Test, can't be failed. Myers-Briggs isn't designed to screen for mental disorders. The Myers-Briggs isn't some weird outlier in psychometrics.
I like the "Living Together" section of the comic strip the best. I'm far more geeky than my wife, who has kindly permitted me to fill an entire wall of our home with Ninja High School posters. And the other walls with anime paraphernalia.
