Swine Flu: Bacon’s Revenge

Posted by Alex in Health on April 28, 2009 at 1:49 pm

Swine Flu: Bacon’s Revenge – $9.95

Swine flu is on everybody’s mind, so why not on their T-shirts as well? Neatorama illustrator Chris Murphy cooked up this hammy design that will surely get your friends and co-workers chuckling (though whether they’re chuckling because the shirt is funny or they’re nervous about swine flu is another matter).

And for those who’re sick and tired of hearing of the swine flu pandemic, how about a little pundemic? The cleverest pun in the comment (yes, I’m looking at you, Kalel) will win this T-shirt. Moral outrage is welcome (as long as it’s funny).

An Insatiable Greed: Bonus Time! - $9.95

First they engaged in risky business practices - including insuring trillions in risky derivatives, then their meltdown helped trigger the global economic crisis, then they asked for and got hundreds of billions in taxpayer's money in a government bailout. So, what do they do next for a job well done? Why, it's Bonus Time, of course!

What can you do? Get mad, and then get this T-shirt from Neatorama's Online Store: Link

Neatorama is Hiring: Illustrators and Models

Posted by Alex in Neatorama Exclusives on March 16, 2009 at 8:00 am

Psst! Do you want to make a few extra bucks?

The economy is tough out there for artists but we have good news for you: we are hiring freelance graphic designers to design nifty T-shirts for the Neatorama Online Store as well as a couple of models (male and female, a couple preferred) to showcase the T-shirts.

Both of these positions are part-time/freelance – you can work from your home (though we prefer that you be in the USA and 18-years-of age or older). Oh, and models get to keep the shirts after they’re done modeling ‘em :)

Please email Alex for more details – be sure to include this as the subject line "Neatorama T-Shirt Designer Application" or "Neatorama T-Shirt Model Application."

Thank you!

Update 3/18/09: Thank you to everybody who applied! We’re sifting through hundreds of qualified applicants now and will make our decision shortly.

Ambigram T-Shirt Designs

Posted by Alex in Fashion, Pictures on February 17, 2009 at 5:39 pm

Hello, everyone! I’d like to let you know that we have a few new ambigram T-shirts on the Neatorama Online Store. Usually ambigrams are rotationally symmetric – but these ones are reflectionally special – they spell a different message when seen on the mirror! These ambigrams were designed by ambigram artists extraordinaire Naguib and Fadilah of Nagfa blog.

This one above, modeled by the lovely Barbara, is the Clever/Stupid Ambigram – an updated take on the classic "I’m with Stupid" T-shirt.

Take a look at the rest of the designs: Link

If you’ve seen the Japanese video on the fastest way to fold a t-shirt but (like me) still didn’t get it, here’s a great video that breaks it down step-by-step for the instructions-challenged (like me). Weird, and yet strangely cool in a geeky way.
