The Japanese design firm nendo and the electronics company Elecom came up with this innovative mouse design. The Kandenchi has three buttons and a scroll wheel. It connects to a computer through a wireless hookup.

Yes, we’ve seen steampunk mice before, but none that come with a pre-installed brain! Builder Peter Balch notes that “Every self-respecting Victorian Scientist needs a brain in a jar.” I couldn’t have said it better myself. Celluon has invented a new type of mouse that reads simple finger movements as mousing commands. The evoMouse also appears to respond to finger commands common to smartphones, like zooming. It’s pretty cool, but I’m waiting for a Minority Report glove.
