Fire up the Bluesmobile, Blues Brothers fans! We’re going for a ride in celebration of a very good news: three decades after the release of the movie, The Blues Brothers got the nod from the Catholic Church.
Call it "The Gospel According to Jake and Elwood Blues."
On the thirtieth anniversary of the Blues Brothers’ famous "mission from God," the Vatican has given the film its official blessing.
"L’Osservatore Romano," the official newspaper of the Catholic Church, says Catholics everywhere should watch the film.
In an unrelated news, I also learned that L’Osservatore Romano has an advertisement for "The most beautiful photos of the Pope"

One of the best moments in the quirky British series. The great news is that they’re coming back for another season! I only hope that Richmond the goth clears up his case of scurvy and also returns. |

So – I posted Snowball the parrot, the subject of a very scientific experiment to see if birds can dance. But Snowball might well just have two left claws when compared to a bird named Frosty.
Here’s a clip of Frosty the parrot shaking its tail feather to Ray Charles and the Blues Brothers’ Twist It (Shake Your Tail Feather): Link [embedded YouTube clip, video by Karla K. Larsson)
