The folks over at ComicsAlliance have commissioned reboot cover art for indie comics from Kevin Mellon, one of the finest illustrators working in the industry today, and the results are pretty freakin’ awesome. Take this reboot for example, Scott Pilgrim as the kick ass hardcore hero he deserves to be, rendered in a stark and angular style that is befitting his amazing abilities. Each cover comes with a brief synopsis of the rebooted storyline, and if Scott Pilgrim’s is any indication of how future titles will look then we’re in for a real treat:

Scott Pilgrim came to the big city full of big dreams about making it as a rap-metal mega-star — at least, until he met Ramona Flowers, the gorgeous hooker-cum-drug mule that he couldn’t seem to get out of his mind. When Ramona finally tries to break ties with her pimp Gideon Graves — a vicious crime lord who has been flooding the streets of Toronto with a dangerous new drug called “Glow” — only Scott can save her from the consortium of increasingly deadly hitmen that Gideon sends to take her out.

Now that’s what I call re-envisioning a storyline! Look for more reboots to premiere in the coming months at ComicsAlliance.

Well, the headline pretty much sums this one up -  disgruntled university is suing an adult content site for treading on their trademarks. Unfortunately for National American University, however, the similarities mostly end at the same-sounding names starting with the same letters. One of the more hilarious claims of the former of the two NAU’s is that students, faculty and others may begin confusing one for the other. When folks affiliated with a school begin to confuse their campus for a pornography production set, however, it might just mean something is missing from the curriculum.

In 2004, Janet Jackson’s "wardrobe malfunction" caused a storm of a controversy, but this year viewers in the Tuscon area  saw a whole lot more than that.

Viewers  were astonished to see a woman unzipping a man’s trousers to reveal "full male nudity" followed with what was described as "a graphic act" between a couple.

With less than three minutes left to the game, viewers were "treated" to a 30-second excerpt from Club Jenna, an adult cable TV channel featuring Jenna Jameson, one of America’s most famous porn actresses. Somehow, the feed for the Super Bowl got mixed up:

I just figured it was another commercial until I looked up,” Cora King, of Marana, told the Arizona Daily Star newspaper. “Then he did his little dance with everything hanging out.”
