The 15 Cutest Geeky Baby Costumes

By Jill Harness in Baby, Clothes, Holidays, Neatorama Only on Oct 14, 2011 at 4:14 am

Last year, Neatorama presented the 13 geekiest Halloween costumes, and while there were a few cute kiddo costumes in the mix, overall, the list was distinctively short on adorability. Hoping to remedy that problem this year, I have opted to do a round up on the epitome of cute costumes, baby Halloween outfits. Don’t worry, there is still all the delightful geekiness you’ve come to expect from Neatorama and NeatoBambino, it’s just that it’s about ten times cuter this time around.

Harry Potter

There is no way this little one is not violating the ministry’s Decree for the Reasonable Restriction of Underage Sorcery. Just look at the way his mother, Christine Penguino, is taunting him with that broom. He was born to be a rebel and Flickr user ZarrSadus has the photographic evidence to prove it.

Update: Our very own Neatobambino reader Christine is mother to this adorable wizard and she has offered us a link with another cute image of baby Potter.

Chun Li

This little Street Fighter’s specialty move must be killing her victims with cuteness. Of course, with a face like that, her enemies must be dropping like flies. It’s amazing Flickr user San Diego Shooter was able to get this picture before he was overwhelmed with the desire to pinch Chun Li’s cheeks until his fingers fell off.

Wolverine

Just like Logan, this little guy has such a bad attitude that even his dad is wary of those adamantium claws. No doubt about it, San Diego Shooter is one brave Flickr member.

Star Wars

ThinkGeek is always a great source to get your tyke ready for his journey into geekdom and their Star Wars costumes are just one step in the right direction.

Star Trek

Of course, if you’d prefer your little one learn how to speak Klingon from a young age, you’d probably be better off with these adorable Star Trek costumes.

Doctor Who

If your baby seems to regenerate a new personality every few months, it might not be their fault. You might have given birth to the world’s newest and cutest time lord like little Valentine here.

Supergirl

Flickr user marniejoyce was lucky to catch this shot of Supergirl right before she took a nap. After all, stopping a bank robbery in diapers is hard work.

Nacho Libre

He may be small, but this little Nacho Libre has all the passion needed to win the hearts and minds of his fans. Of course, he probably still won’t win the big match, but he’s still a winner in my eyes. I’ve looked all over to find an original source for this costume, but I can’t. If you know who originally posted it, let me know and I’ll post a link here.

Storm Trooper

Just like when Han donned this enemy uniform, this little guy, shot at Comic Con by Flickr user Gabriel Madrigal Photography, is too cool for the face-hiding helmet.

Princess Leia

With her knitted braids and white onesie, baby Princess Leia is certainly one of the most comfortable geeky costumed babes. She even had help from mommy so she pose with her light saber for Flickr user San Diego Shooter.

Yoda

Love crafts and the teachings of a little green Jedi? Then perhaps you should head over to Etsy seller demulcentarts’ store to check out her adorable knitted Yoda caps.

Incredible Hulk

Even with all those muscles, I don’t think this Hulk could smash much. Even so, he still looks a lot happier than the Hulk we’re used to seeing.

Flash

Sure Flickr user midiman’s nephew can hardly walk, but you’d better believe he can crawl faster than you can run.

Kiss

Does your tike seem to rock and roll all night and party every day, leaving you beyond sleep deprived? Well, celebrate his inner rock star with this adorable Kiss costume from Spirit. And just in case you’re wondering, yes, they do carry all of the Kiss members’ costumes.

Doctor

Are you already certain your bundle of joy will grow up to be a doctor? Well then, get used to the way he looks in scrubs with this Baby, M.D. costume available from the Neatoshop.

Ok all you geek mommies and daddies, what was the best costume your baby ever wore? Are any of you planning to make your babies even geekier this Halloween?

Lame! Those are almost all commercially made costumes. Where’s the creativity? I’d rather see pics of costumes people made themselves. I’m making my kid a murlock costume this year from World of Warcraft.

My nephews are planning on dressing as Mario and Luigi. My niece is going as Princess Peach. My sister is going as Yoshi and her husband is going to be Donkey Kong. I’m going as Bowser. The kids’ trick or treat buckets are going to look like those power up blocks that Mario had to hit to get the coins. We’re also decorating their power wheel jeep to make it look like a Mario kart.

The boys’ costumes are getting bought at the halloween store, mostly because they’ve already seen them there and they are chomping at the bit to get them next week. My niece is making her costume. She’s a teenager and we didn’t find anything that she liked that was close enough to pass as Princess Peach. The rest of us are going to make costumes reusing the parts of costumes past.
