90 Weeks And Counting

It is now 90 weeks and counting since The Baby was born.  She still has a big personality, she is still beautiful, and she still refuses to say Mama.

I thought for sure this would be the week I would be able to officially announce the end of this post, but no.  The posts continue.  On the plus side I have discovered that The Baby has a wicked sense of humor.

How do I know the Baby has a sense of humor? This is how:

It is early morning in any family kitchen USA- soft morning light filters through skylight above.  Cartoons are heard softly in the background.

Our view moves closer.  Sitting at a black, weathered kitchen table are two children.  One child is 4-years-old.  The other child is 90-weeks-old, The Baby.  A Mother crosses the room and sits down between the children.  She looks at The Baby.

What do you say we play a game? Can you say, "Hi Maddy?"

Hi Maddy!

Can you say, "Hi Mama?"

Hi Poo-poo!

The Mother glances at the 4-year-old.  The 4-year-old can't contain her laughter.

She said hi Poo-poo!

The room is filled with laughter. Our view moves away. Scene fades to black.

Okay, so I am no screen writer.  Regardless, I think that pretty much paints an accurate picture for you.  I really tried not to embellish it too much.

Anyway, Despite this minor setback I am still feeling optimistic.  After all my 3-year-old is now potty trained and it felt like that would never happen either. Week 91 will be the week The Baby says Mama. I know it! I will keep you posted.
