When using a Phillips screwdriver, you may experience the tip slipping out. It can loose its grip on the screw, particularly when applying high torque. Here's a clever solution by the German toolmaker Wera. The designers used lasers to etch grooves into the tip in the direction that provides greater bite into the screw head. Phillips Screw Company introduced the Phillips ACR bits years ago with ribs on the bit similar to this. It's a nice idea to modify your regular screwdrivers if you have the means to do so.
