The Ultimate Wake-up Prank

In Japan, TV producers can get away with stunts that would bankrupt an American TV network through lawsuits, and possibly end in convictions. The television special Dokkiri Award (Surprise Award) managed to get comedian Toshiaki Kasuga to sleep in a cabin at the base of Mt. Fuji. Then they strapped him in and woke him up by launching him 150 feet into the air! That may sound quite implausible, but there was alcohol involved. It was the only way. Strategically-placed cameras show Kasuga’s reaction over and over and over. I kind of want to see how he acted when they finally unstrapped him. I bet he was not happy. -via Uproxx

I think she may be taking a selfie with that concrete block? Must be a Nokia! Back on concrete, I've heard that there is a mystery in what the Romans used in their concrete that we would love to solve, because whatever they used means salt water doesn't erode it like it does the modern stuff, but actually makes it stronger.
