OMG, that is such a good question. Here's the thing, a tornado, an act of God if you will, threw her house into the sky, and then gravity took over, and it landed on the ruby shoe wearing old witch, Nuff said. I don't thing Allstate, State farm, or others would pay out for something like that. It was truly an act of God. But. But, if Dorothy had some way of navigating the house that would be something entirely different. But, what jury would convict a 16-year old girl of steering her flying house from her bed. Come on now. Maybe Toto was the true mastermind of this whole event.
Actually Dorothy never met the Wicked Witch of the East, her house landed on her before proper introductions could be conducted. Also, the 4 main characters didn't set out to kill anyone, who would have guessed that water would melt the old hag?
For anyone really interested in Adam West, there was a docu that came out a couple of years ago that covers his entire career up to date: Being Adam West. Doesn't appear to be on Netflix, but I know I saw it on HBO/Showtime recently, so it's been showing there.
So want to see Adam West reprise his role where the aging crusader must hand over to a young protégé. Call it- Death of Batman. The plot worked well for Anthony Hopkins as Zorro and Antonio Banderas as his Zorro replacement .
As a kid I worked in a neighborhood grocery store. One day the owner asked me if I'd like to go out on his boat the following day. Never being on a boat before, I jumped for the chance. The next morning we headed out, got to where we were going and launched the boat. I was having such a good time but not prepared for what was about to happen... just a half mile out from shore I heard the sound of a helicopter in the air above us yelling "action!". I looked up to see where the sound was coming from, and low-and-behold... it was the Batcopter!!!! I turned back to look around the cove we had just left, and there was the Bat Boat with Batman (Adam West) standing on it and a lot of lights around the deck. Holy crap!!!! They were shooting the Batman movie or TV show and I was there! To a young boy who watched Batman at the time, it was indescribable beyond words! It was the best day ever! Later I discovered that not too far from the grocery store where I worked putting soda pop bottles away and sweeping the floor was the actual mansion they used as the "Wayne Manor". I passed it almost everyday and until I saw a crew filming there one day through the hedges, I never knew I was in the midst of a crime fighting action hero!
I once met Adam (in full Barman gear) at a car show in Tampa Florida back in 1979. I was 19 and stood in line with about 20 five year olds to meet him. One of the greatest days of my life.
