That's no moon. It's a clock built by Instructables member YOUgNeek. He used a stencil to mark out the Death Star pattern. Then he pressed white LEGO pieces into the clay to provide backing for the interchangeable minfigs. So although it's currently a quarter till Boba Fett, he can swap the minifigs to reflect different time measurement systems.
