Would Americans Trust Your Profession?

Not if you're a member of Congress, they won't!

No surprise there - politicians haven't been highly regarded for their honesty and ethics by John Q. Public for decades, but the 7% ratings in this recent poll by Gallup is a new low.

The most honest professions? Nurses and pharmacists topped the poll.

My older daughter (RN) will be happy to see this poll. I'm a retired high school biology teacher (32 years) and I remember one time an FBI agent coming to school to ask about a former student for a security clearance. He asked me one question."Did he ever lie to you?" My answer was no. He thanked me and left. Makes me thing that people with ultra high security clearances should rank high.

I can't believe the police officers scored that high. Having never had any legal trouble beyond a speeding ticket myself, I've still experienced a police officer blatently lying. I would have thought they'd be down near the bottom...
