An Amazing 3D Animation Short Called Electro Shock

This incredibly well made cartoon is the product of some talented students from the ESMA School of the Arts in France, and packs a full length feature worth of content into an eight minute long short.

With an endearing storyline, cute cartoony style and some sweet visual effects, it’s so slick that I can hardly believe that it was made by student animators! Check it out and see if Electro Shock changes the way you think about superheroes.

Hmmm. I find it a bit depressing. Typically I watch animation to escape from the unflattering points of human nature.

These french and their wacky pseudo-science, I totally agree! As for the misogyny, I couldn’t see it, I was too offended by how both male characters where portrayed as stereotypically bad.
One of them is a brawny douchebag, the other a complete loser and an idiot, both with only sex on their mind. Completely offensive!

Oh, wait, so they screw up science, they screw up their portrayal of the female character, and they screw up the portrayal of the male character… could it be that they just didn’t plan anyone to take this wacky, well made short film, as anything more than a cartoon?
