A Cherry Pie, an Apple Pie and a Pumpkin Pie, Each Cooked Inside a Separate Cake, Then Stacked Together and Iced to Form Another Cake

It is a called a cherpumple, and it represents all that remains good and right in this fallen world. Pastry chef David Lowery made this 21 lb. 10 oz. concoction for guests at the Grand Geneva Resort in Wisconsin. I feel a rekindling of hope for the human race because we can still do great things like this. http://www.charlesphoenix.com/2011/09/sunday-brunch-cherpumple/ -via That's Nerdalicious! | Photo: David Lowery

oh my goodness, this is wonderful. anyone complaining that this piece of culinary history is an abomination and the sandwich board announcing the irreparable decadence of the west needs to watch the news sometime. There will always be poor, starving people that we and others bomb to death and use the ashes to pave our twelve car garages - very rarely do we find someone so bent on our simplest pleasures that they build a cake shaped syringe of awesome like this gentle soul has. ps - haters and moralists commenting here already lose because they shouldn't be wasting our precious resources (fuel/electricity) commenting online about a three-ring circus cake, they oughta be bean farming and raising goats.

Ugh. Jeez. Did you SEE that guy juggling machetes while riding a unicycle inside a circle of fire? That's totally excessive. It represents everything that's disgusting about America and shows why the rest of the world hates us. We are such an awful country. We should be ashamed. Ashaaaaaamed.

Wow. No matter how creative or interesting or awesome something might be, there will always been someone negative to shoot it down. The ingredients are probably shit? Its a lie? It's excess. Get over yourselves. I don't particularly like pumpkin pie, but I can still appreciate the work that went into this.

Try and say something nice. Rejoice in the iced tower of deliciousness. Recognize that it took David Lowery's talent and creativity to put this genius concoction together in a highly edible and beautiful way.

I have to just say, to all the people who were talking about how the icing is the "fourth cake", please learn how to read. The title says "A Cherry Pie, an Apple Pie and a Pumpkin Pie, Each Cooked Inside a Separate Cake, Then Stacked Together and Iced to Form Another Cake" It does form the final fourth cake once they're stacked together. I understand that the cake is distracting but read the title correctly before you start talking. Thanks
