Cutting pages of books to create art is so last week! Lorenzo Durán pushed the edge of the artistic envelope with his series of cutaway leaf art:

Artist Lorenzo Duran’s picks the perfect leaf and then washes, dries, molds and gently cuts away at it until he makes beautiful art. It’s an interesting technique based on paper-cutting in China, Japan, Germany and Switzerland.
