if these are all in respect to y then the circle equation should be sqrt(r^2 - x^2), correct?

fire: False! -sqrt(x) reflects sqrt(x) over the x-axis, whereas sqrt(-x) reflects sqrt(x) over the y-axis. Plug in a few points and check it out :-)

I saw something similar to this at a teacher workshop, but with just the graphs. The students were suppose to make the graphs with their arms. The graphs were shown on a smart board as a slide show set to arobic music. It was really fun. I think they called it algerobics or something silly like that. I wish they had this on a shirt.
