Police Raided the Wrong House 41 Times!

By Alex in Crime & Law on Mar 22, 2011 at 4:38 pm

We’ve all heard of the horror stories of cops raiding the wrong house (and invariably, killing the dog or something) but can you imagine them raiding the wrong house for 41 time?

AN innocent couple’s home has been wrongly raided for the 41st time – just days after police pledged it would never happen again.

Matthew Jillard and Claire Hayes told last week how they have suffered 18 months of their home being mixed up with another 100 yards away.

Police promised them they had fixed the problem – but blundering officers made the same error at the weekend.

It reminds me when I moved in my old apartment. Kids were screaming, people up stairs were stomping around, so I put on some music just loud enough to drown out the noise and someone called the cops on me. The cops told me they had personally kicked in my door several times and pointed to the damage on the door frame as evidence. They urged me to move out, stating, it wasn’t only cops who kicked the door in. Thankfully, I lived there 4 years and never had anyone kick my door in.

I call bullshit! No one, not even in England, would put up with this.

They raided the wrong house in my town and knocked over a candle and burned it down. Thank your obsession with keeping people from self medicating for all these loser cops trashing your civil rights.

If this is true… then what on Earth is going on at the CORRECT house? The one that was ACTUALLY supposed to be raided 41 times?

Isn’t that what they go to Police School for? To know the right place…Sometimes it makes a person wonder…
I think the Police Dept. should pay moving expences for them so it won’t hapen again or place a sign in front yard, “NOT THIS HOUSE’ CHECK THE ADDRESS AGAIN!!!!

OK folks- I didn’t want to have to explain, but here goes. When the police execute a warrant (raid), much damage is done to a house. It would take far less than 41 raids to destroy a house completely. If the real target house was really getting that much attention, it would be shuttered and/or destroyed rather than subjected to so many raids. And for every two weeks for 18 months, as much as I distrust cops, I think they would have gotten the address right after a couple times. Also, I don’t think anyone would choose to live in a house that gets raided so often- but they couldn’t anyhow, because it would have been smashed to bits by 41 raids- aaaargh!!!

Apparently, that’s not even the record: police “raided” this couple’s house over 50 times.

I’m more concerned as to why their neighbor’s house needed to? be raided 41 times… I mean, the person hasn’t been arrested yet? after 40 raids? really? REALLY? Fuck it, I would just move.
