The Many Bridges of Star Trek

By The Dude in Film, Science Fiction, TV on Feb 8, 2011 at 8:10 pm

Since Star Trek first debuted in 1966, there have been endless variations on a theme.  A half-dozen TV series. Ten feature films, not counting the reboot. And lots and lots of ships.

There’ve been a heck of a lot of starships in Star Trek, far more than you might think. And if you ever found yourself wandering the bridge, wouldn’t it be nice to have a guide that’ll tell you which movie or TV series you’ve wandered into? Well, there is.

Over at Bernd Schneider’s Star Trek site, you can find illustrations of 37 different bridges, plus another nine shuttle cockpits.

    “… not counting the reboot.”

What reboot? My friends have told me about this mythical beast, but I refuse to believe that such an abomination exists…
