Pool Played with Bowling Balls

By John Farrier in Living, Sports on Dec 30, 2010 at 6:51 pm

Steve Wienecke of Fredericktown, Missouri invented a game that he calls “Knokkers”. It’s similar to pool, but played on a surface scaled four times larger than a regulation pool table and with six-pound bowling balls. Wienecke hopes to one day see Knokkers platforms on cruise ships and in amusement parks and restaurants.

Looks like it would be difficult to hit the balls in the pockets without a cue to aim with. Might be a long game, but it looks like fun

TERRIBLE idea for cruise ships – they move people! And as for amusement parks and restaurants … I don’t think providing bowling balls to the masses outside of a bowling alley is a good idea. There’s too many idiots out there.

What, noone has thought of this before?

Unfortunately, bowling balls can’t stand up to this – they will eventually chip or shatter, and that would be way too dangerous in a public venue.

    Cool idea though.

Hillbilly billiards – who’d a thunk it (except for maybe Gomer Pyle).
