If you haven’t already gotten tired of snowy news, here are some microscope images of snowflakes by Kenneth G. Libbrecht to enjoy alongside the previous Cool Snowflakes and Make Your Own Virtual Snowflake posts.

The photo here shows a stellar plate snowflake, which is described as “fine crystals in the form of plates with six broad arms that form a star shape”.
