Looxcie

You knew this was coming, and now its available to everyone. It’s a camera that records everything you see. Loop the Looxcie over your ear and go about your day. If you see anything you think may be worth saving, hit the button and the previous 30 seconds are saved, and even uploaded to your selected social networking site to be instantly shared, or you can watch and edit the video first if you prefer. And it stores up to five hours of video! yeah, this is neat to have yourself -but what about when other people wear them? Would you tend to turn your head or hide when you see one of these coming? The reviews for this are about the same as any bottom of the line helmet cam. When it works with uStream so that someone else can see what I do, then I will buy it.

Doesn’t look like it could withstand a crowbar up side the head.

I’ve been waiting for a way to “TiVo” my life, since I’m always too late with my camera to capture the moment: It’s only AFTER something cool’s happened that I say to myself, “Gee, that would’ve been worth taking a picture of. Wish I could rewind that last 30 seconds.”

This looks like something I invented (theoretically) in the mid-90′s. I imagined a system where I could have a tiny camera at the corner of my glasses, that would keep a 30 second buffer file, so that when I pressed a button, the 30 seconds before, plus anything that happened after, until I pressed the button again, would be stored.
There would also be a small camera tracking my eye movements, so that the recording camera always followed my view.

But you won’t patant this before I get the chance, right?

It has a delicious Aperture Science look.
I’m afraid to see what it looks like on someone’s face.
