It is great that we still have these people around, living parts of significant history. I would like to see a lot more interviews like this while we still have the chance. I have just recently lost both WWII veterans in my family, I wish I had talked with them more about their experiences in war, and their lives in general.

Incedently, while we are on the subject of surviving veterans… there was a young civil war soldier who lived until the 1950s. Can you imagine a life where you saw the both the American industrial revolution and the atomic age?
