    You’re kidding right? At best, that’s barely passable lip-syncing. Not that impressive.

    I wanna’ see him do the Truffle Shuffle for an encore.

    Actually, it is a Dolly Parton song. But even Dolly said Whitney did it better.

    hsdell – funny – if that’s lip-sync i must have totally forgotten Whitney’s accent when pronouncing “only” and “this” and a bunch of other words like an Asian. If anything your comment proves just how amazing this boy is.
    randy sanders – from the beginning the songs credits acknowledge Dolly Parton. The screen image of Whitney is only there because the boy’s rendition is of hers, not Dolly’s.

    @nancy b.

    Your comment makes no sense: “…proves just how amazing this boy is.”

    He is lip-syncing! It could be anybody singing that, but a Taiwanese boy singing a Whitney Houston hit makes a much better news story and viral advertising.

    It’s entirely probable that he’s lip-syncing, as many performers do when emoting to their own or others’ songs on stage. The soundtrack isn’t Whitney (or Dolly) though, and sure sounds like a strong-lunged male singer at times… I bet it’s truly him singing, and that he is Taiwan’s latest castrato. Go Li Yun Chun!

    @hsdell

    Actually, when you know what to look for, you can definitely hear his accent and there are also tale-tell signs of his actual singing.

    Here’s a clip of him again, singing Amazing Grace in the previous episode:

    sorry I was so vague, let me restate – you are suspicious he is lip-syncing because you are so sure a Taiwanese boy could not do such a good job. Since he is not lip-syncing he IS doing a good job. I.E. Your comment proves how amazing he really is.
    Basic logic -
    1. STATEMENT – A cannot be B because B is really good.
    2. FACT – A IS B.
    3. CONCLUSION – A has to be really good.
