Surfing Alpaca

After seeing Australians teach kangaroos how to surf, Peruvian surfer Domingo Pianezzi decided to teach an animal native to his homeland how to surf:

But the 44-year-old fancied a bigger challenge and has managed to coax his pet alpaca Pisco, to join him hanging ten in the Pacific.

Pisco β€” wearing a life jacket β€” managed to catch three waves with his owner and cruise for a few seconds before falling into the water.

Pianezzi said he came up with the idea while riding waves in Australia.

Hilarious. But I’m pretty sure alpacas weren’t meant to swim. Poor little guy, he didn’t seem to enjoy the face-first plunges into the water *at all*.

Animal cruelty. Alpacas are mountain animals, that’s just stressing the animal for a mere dumb ass smirk.

Australians teaching kangaroos to surf? That’s a lie isn’t it.
Although us Australians do enjoy perpetuating lies about our native wildlife. Watch out for drop bears!

Tina, my father exports these animals for a living, when they have their ears down it indicates either they are pissed off or they are stressed. This animal is clearly not relaxed. They HATE swimming and if they get into water (which is rare) its to cool off. The pacific ocean at the north of chile and south of peru is VERY cold due to the Humboldt current. The surfer is wearing a swim suit for a reason.

    Animal cuelty.
