Redundant Clock

redundant clock

New York-based designer Ji Lee’s Redundant Clock uses hands oriented toward the hour markings for its hour markings.

Browsing around Lee’s website, I also found this interesting work of guerrilla art. Lee puts empty speech bubbles over public advertisements and then photographs what people write in them.

It would have been cooler if each symbol had a second hand running in unison with all the rest too.

Actually, all he really did was take a normal un-numbered clock and add a vertical line to each hour marker. These markers are normally oriented this way. :)

This would be a neat way to teach kids how to tell time.
