Swiss artist Zimoun builds sound installations that create a unique audiovisual experience. This video is a compilation of many of his projects, including listening to woodworms at work using a microphone, an automat with selections representing different cities, and pvc hoses flopping about under the force of compressed air. You can see an archive of project-specific videos at the above video link.

    How splendid!

Some are more effective than others, of course, but they’re wonderful.

This is beautiful. I am happy this guy can do what he wants, but can he pay his bills with this? He probably doesn’t have a crappy boss or live in the horrible hate-filled world known as the ghetto, good for you Zimoun, I am jealous. I too was an artist once, but I was convinced by adults I was being childish, shame I didn’t know they were wrong.
